Recorded at the McNichols Arena in Denver in 1981, this is a lost live version of the smash ‘Ridin’ the Storm Out” from their 1973 album of the same name. The band was riding a wave of success at that time, having recently released their ninth album, Hi Infidelity, in the fall of 1980. Hi Infidelity spawned four hit singles, including the chart-topping “Keep On Loving You”, plus “Take It on the Run” (#5), “In Your Letter” (#20), and “Don’t Let Him Go” (#24), and remained on the charts for 65 weeks. Of those 65 weeks, 32 of them were spent in the Top Ten, including 15 weeks atop the Billboard 200. Hi Infidelity went on to sell over 10 million copies and set a high bar for other rock bands for the rest of the decade.
