Some casual fans only remember the iconic rock band Deep Purple with their hit “Smoke on the Water.” But to many, “Highway Star” is actually their favorite song,  arriving as the lead-off track to the band’s landmark Machine Head LP.  To many, it’s a perfect album opening song, and quite possibly the best driving song EVER,  daring the listener to go from zero to sixty … and maybe faster.
