As many fans already know, Detroit’s Cobo Hall was the venue where rockers KISS recorded part of their landscape-changing Alive! album which made them an instant, if not uncontrollable, new force on the music scene. Alive! was released on Sept. 10, 1975 as a double album and included live versions of tracks from KISS’s first three studio albums. Our friends at AllMusic.com describes Alive! as “one of the greatest live hard rock recordings of all-time” and many fans agree.
