This song was recorded in November 1973 & January 1974, then released on the Rolling Stone’s 1974 album It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll. ‘Time Waits for No One’ was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, and features a slower, smoother melody than a lot of the music the Stones are best known. The song’s distinctive groove has also been compared to another track fans may be more familiar with, “Waiting on a Friend,” and both feature a distinct Latin influence.
We couldn’t find a live performance of it, but this video includes a number of seldom seen still images from the band’s many performances over the year and also some behind-the-scenes shots of the Stones while they were on tour in the 60’s and 70’s.
