WATCH: Poison jams to ‘Love on the Rocks’ – 1988

Never to be confused with the Neil Diamond hit of the same name, ‘Love on the Rocks’ is the opening cut from Poison’s second studio album, Open Up and Say… Ahh!, released in 1988 through Enigma Records. The album proved to be the glam/rock band’s most successful release, and spawned four hit singles: “Nothin’ but a Good Time”, “Fallen Angel”, “Your Mama Don’t Dance” (a Loggins and Messina cover) and their only #1 single to date, “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”.  According to, ” … the agreeable raunch of album tracks like “Love on the Rocks,” “Good Love,” and “Look But You Can’t Touch” helps make Open Up and Say…Ahh! Poison’s best overall album.
