“Bad to the Bone” is one of those songs that wasn’t very popular when it first came out in 1982, but a video on the then new MTV channel started getting a lot of play and before he knew it, George Thorogood had a hit on his hands. And over the years, the tune would be licensed for all kinds of films, TV shows and commercials, making it a classic rock staple.
Not much to tell about it, other than it was from the Bad to Bone album by George Thorogood and The Destroyers, released on September 17, 1982. The video is from a July 5, 1984 concert at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey and it certainly appears that George and the band (as well as the audience) enjoyed it! George and the Destroyers are still touring, so go out and see them if you get the chance!
