WATCH: Chicago vs. Black Sabbath – “Plenty High or 6 to 4?”

Another great mash-up! This time we have Chicago’s Classic “25 or 6 to 4” and Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s “Sweet Leaf” which actually meld nicely together, don’t you think?

Interesting, the songs came out within a year of each other back in the day, “25 or 6 to 4” in 1970 and “Sweet Leaf” in 1971.

Here’s more on each song from Wikipedia:

“25 or 6 to 4” is a song written by the American musician Robert Lamm, one of the founding members of the band Chicago. It was recorded in 1969 for their second album, Chicago, with Peter Cetera on lead vocals. The album was released in January 1970 and the song was edited and released as a single in June of that same year, climbing to No. 4 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and number seven on the UK Singles Chart. It was the band’s first song to reach the top five in the U.S.  It has been included in numerous Chicago compilation albums.

“Sweet Leaf” is a song by Black Sabbath from their third studio album Master of Reality, released in 1971. It is considered as one of the band’s signature songs. It was included on their initial greatest hits compilation We Sold Our Soul for Rock ‘n’ Roll (1976).
