WATCH: Videos – The Jackson Five cover “Doctor My Eyes” by Jackson Browne – Who Sang It Better?

If you grew up in the 70’s you could not miss the incredible voice of singer/songwriter Jackson Browne, who had a string of classic hits including “Running on Empty”, “Take It Easy”, “Somebody’s Baby” and, of course, his 1972 smash “Doctor My Eyes.”

But while looking up a great LIVE version of JB performing that song, I came across something I didn’t expect: a cover of the song by none other than a very young Michael Jackson and his brothers as part of the Jackson Five which apparently was only released in the UK where it went to #9 on the pop charts, but was never released in the US. I found a recording of it for you so you could compare it to the classic version by Jackson Browne. Obviously it’s not going to be what your ears expect, but give it a listen, then play the 1978 live version by Browne and let me know what you think on our Facebook page!

First, The Jackson Five with their version of “Doctor My Eyes” a UK-only release from 1972.
