I looked and looked but could not find an early version of “Rock Candy” by Montrose performed LIVE. I found videos of Sammy Hagar without Montrose, and Montrose without Sammy Hagar, but nothing with the full band from the early 70’s. What a great live performance! For those who aren’t familiar with the band, Montrose was a California-based band formed in early 1973 and which originally featured Ronnie Montrose on guitar, future Van Halen frontman, Sammy Hagar, bassist Bill Church and drummer Denny Carmassi. Their self-titled debut album, produced by Ted Templeman, was released on Warner Bros in late 1973, and while it was not a big seller at the time…

New, from the mind of comedy writer Bobby DiVito is a humorous mashup of old and new. He started with the original 1927 text of the first Hardy Boys adventure, “The Tower Treasure” added 25% more fun (as in funny)! The Hardy brothers have also aged 25 years, and despite being in their early 40s, Frank and Joe still live at home, still don’t have real jobs and aren’t quite ready yet to become “real” detectives, at least not according to their father, Fenton Hardy, world’s greatest living detective.

Despite this seemingly endless apprenticeship, the brothers think that this case (which involves a stolen car, a heist from the fanciest house in town, and a mysterious red-headed thief) will be the one to get them over the top.
